Introduction

In my role as a strategic AI consultant, I have worked with a range of companies across diverse sectors — including electronics manufacturing, grant application processing, and insurance — to bring immediate value through the deployment of custom GPT-based solutions. These projects were driven by a common need: fast, practical AI tools that solve real problems without requiring long development cycles or complex integrations.

Each engagement combined consultation, hands-on education, and live prototyping. I led intensive AI workshops inside the client companies, where we first identified their unique knowledge bottlenecks, then designed and built tailor-made GPT agents to automate tasks, guide internal processes, and unlock business-critical efficiencies — within the same day.

Target Group

Primary: SMEs in traditional industries (electronics, public services, financial and insurance services)
Secondary: Internal innovation teams, operations managers, customer service departments, grant and policy specialists

Project Objectives

Accelerated AI Adoption

Equip companies with AI capabilities they can deploy immediately — without technical overhead or dependency on third-party tools.

Embedded Business Logic

Build GPT agents that reflect the real-world context of the organization: its vocabulary, workflows, forms, decisions, and risks.

Hands-On Capability Building

Ensure internal teams understand not only how to use AI but how to co-create, refine, and govern it for their unique needs.

What We Did for the Client

Strategic Consultation & Workshop Facilitation

  • AI Capability Diagnosis: We began with a rapid audit of the company’s most promising automation and augmentation opportunities.
  • Business Use Case Discovery: Using an interactive method, we mapped out current knowledge workflows and identified high-friction processes ripe for AI support.
  • Custom Workshop Delivery: I facilitated a hands-on GPT-building workshop that doubled as a capability-building session for internal staff.

Live Prototyping of GPTs with Immediate Value

  • Needs-Based GPT Creation: During the workshop, we developed custom GPTs aligned with specific internal use cases — such as document triage, eligibility guidance for grants, policy lookup, or customer service messaging.
  • Integrated Language and Logic: Each agent was infused with domain-specific knowledge and contextual awareness, ensuring relevance and accuracy from day one.
  • Deploy-Ready Outputs: The GPTs were handed over in a usable form — tested, integrated, and deployed through tools familiar to the team (e.g., web portals, Microsoft Word, Notion, internal chat).

Early Wins and Long-Term Opportunity Design

  • Instant Operational Impact: In every case, at least one GPT became a functioning part of the team’s daily workflow within 24 hours.
  • AI Roadmap Guidance: After delivery, I outlined a roadmap for further GPT agent integration, including security, governance, and long-term AI ROI.

Key Challenges

Working with Non-Digital-First Companies

Many client teams had limited exposure to AI or software development. Solutions had to be intuitive, low-friction, and seamlessly integrated into their daily routines.

Designing for Real-Time Deployment

Every GPT had to work immediately, without requiring engineering support or platform migration.

Customizing Without Overengineering

We needed to embed deep functionality into simple systems — striking a balance between contextual intelligence and practical usability.

Outcomes and Client Impact

  • Multiple GPTs deployed within a single day per client
  • Operational time savings in areas like customer response, grant evaluation, document navigation, and internal onboarding
  • Significant increase in AI readiness across teams, sparking internal innovation projects and follow-up GPT development
  • Immediate strategic impact, leading several clients to incorporate GPTs into their official digitalization plans

Conclusion

This consulting model demonstrates the power of embedded AI strategy at the edge of an organization — helping teams unlock value with no delay and no barrier to entry. By combining education, hands-on experimentation, and real-time prototyping, I enabled clients to experience what it means to work with AI by working with AI — not in a lab, but in the exact workflows where impact is needed most.
